The City on a Hill podcast sits at the intersection of the church of Jesus and the world of politics. We acknowledge and address the tension between what it means to be a citizen of heaven and a citizen of the United States. We want to encourage Christians to find their “tribe” in the church and their hope in the kingdom of God rather than seek both in the kingdom of man.
About City on a Hill
Scott and Aeric have had several wonderful conversations. None were better, though, than the one where Aeric asked Scott if he could marry his daughter, Leslie! We have shared many things over the years, but have come back time after time to the topic of our podcast.
After the political pressure the world felt in 2020 and the problems the pandemic forced on our church, then watching the storming of the capital in January of 2021, we decided to do something about it. We knew we had to figure out how followers of Jesus interact with the political world. And, we knew we were not alone. We hope City on a Hill is helpful to the broader church as they find their hope in the kingdom of God and not in the kingdoms of this world.
