NOTES:

We highlighted three key Bible passages today.

Hebrews 11:10 — For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.

Hebrews 12: 28-29 — Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

Colossians 3:1-4 — If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

RECAP & TAKEAWAYS:

  • If your identity is in a kingdom of this world that can be shaken, you will ultimately end up insecure.
  • We tell ourselves stories to understand who we are.
